Platform opens access to exclusive premium-only custom instructions, helping users how AI chatbot responds
OpenAI recently announced that it is expanding its custom instructions feature to non-paying users, to give them more control over how the system responds.
The feature was first launched in July as a Beta for ChatGPT+ subscribers, allowing users to add preferences and requirements that they want the AI chatbot to consider when responding to their query.
The feature will save time for users who won’t have to re-write prompts every time they interacted with the Chatbot like keeping answers to a specific character count, customising the tone of the response, or language preferences.

Until this week, the feature was exclusively available to premium subscribers, with a $20/month fee, but is now available for all users including non-paying subscribers.
